Sir Paul McCartney and Stella McCartney back PETA campaign

24 06 2020

Sir Sir Paul McCartney, Stella McCartney and their organisation Meat Free Monday have teamed up with PETA, calling for the modernisation of school meals 'that would benefit children’s health, the environment, and animals', also signing an open letter 'urging the Secretary of State for Education to remove the mandatory servings of fish, meat, and dairy and replace them with more flexible nutritional guidelines'.

The pair jointly commented 'No one needs to eat meat, so it shouldn’t be mandatory to serve it in schools. It’s time to revise the School Food Standards to help the planet, spare animals, and promote healthy eating'.
